Facebook-owned WhatsApp has received plenty of updates so far since its popularity. Unfortunately, the company has not included the Multiple device feature like Telegram. If there’s an internet connection issue on your mobile, then the WhatsApp Web will start working automatically as both are linked to each other.
As per the latest report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp users will soon be able to make desktop calls even if the phone gets disconnected or the mobile data is off. This feature is termed as ‘standalone,’ is currently in developing mode, and is expected to release shortly in the coming days. The new feature will not disconnect the WhatsApp Web’s connection even though the mobile connection is poor or unavailable. The only thing you need to do is to log in to your WhatsApp Web by scanning the QR code. After that, you will no longer be interrupted for connection issues life before.
WhatsApp Desktop won't interrupt your current call if your phone is not connected to the Internet anymore, during the call. 💯
When multi device will be available in a future update, you can also start calls and send messages without an active Internet connection on your phone.

The new feature will be available for iOS & Android devices and will work relevantly like Telegram & Signal. As of today, there’s no information available about the availability of this new feature. However, it doesn’t taking much time to release as it is already under the development model.
