Samsung Galaxy A50 at Verizon bags the May 2021 Security Patch update

Verizon has initially delivered the May 2021 Security Patch update to the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S20 Series. Verizon and Samsung have begun sending the May 2021 Security Patch update to the Galaxy A50 smartphone. As always, carrier-based devices get software updates lately. The regular version of the Galaxy A150 has bagged a similar update two weeks earlier.

The new firmware update accompanies the software version RP1A.200720.012.A505USQSCDUE2, and it has already started appearing on many devices. Regarding the changes, there’s nothing in the firmware separated from the monthly security patch.

To manually check the update on your Galaxy A50, head to Settings>Software updates>Check for the updates. If you see any update there, download and install it for an improved user experience.

Back in Q of 2019, the Korean giant launched the Galaxy A50 sporting a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. At the front, the mobile hosts a 25-MP camera for selfies and video chats. The phone boots with Android 9.0 (Pie) and packs a 4,000 mAh battery. It is powered by an Exynos 9610 (10nm) Chipset paired with 4/6GB of RAM and 64/128GB onboard storage.
