Samsung to Continue it’s TVs with Tizen Operating System

A couple of days back, Google and Samsung have reported that they will join their hands and develop the next generation of the Wear OS. Samsung has likewise said that the impending Galaxy Watch 4 will run with Wear OS. The company has ended the Tizen OS for its new handsets. The older models will remain the same, and they will get updates regularly. However, as per the latest bulletin, the Samsung TVs continue to run on the Tizen OS itself.

In the event that we go on into this point, this news was affirmed by Samsung’s spokesperson on Protocol (Via). He said that “Tizen still is the default platform for our smart TVs going forward.” The new indirectly means Samsung is collaborating with Google to develop only the ‘Wear OS’ only for the smartwatches. The TVs will continue to power the Tizen operating system on the top. Apart from the statement, there’s no additional information available.
