Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch Active 4 inches closer to launch

It looks like Samsung is gearing up for the launch of the Galaxy Watch Series. As the launch is getting closer, the devices have started appearing on many certification websites. The Galaxy Watch 4 has visited the FIMKO Certification website carrying model numbers and battery information on the previous day. Now, the Galaxy Watch 4 And Watch Active 4 have received the 3C Certification.

Galaxy Watch 3

A couple of hours back, the Galaxy Watch 4 Series have appeared on the 3C Certification website (Via myfixguide). The 3C Certification generally reveals the battery information of the gadget. But this time, the charging features of the upcoming Watch Series have been displayed.

If we move closer to the listing, the Galaxy Watch 4 And Watch Active 4 have appeared with different model numbers. For a piece of precise information, we have dropped them below.

  • SM-R860 (Watch Active4 39mm)
  • SM-R870 (Watch Active4 43mm)
  • SM-R880 (Watch4 41mm)
  • SM-R890 (Watch4 45mm)

Like its predecessor (Galaxy Watch 3), the new watches also loads with support for 5W (5V, 1A) charging. But, surprisingly, as per the 3C Certification, the Galaxy Watch 4 Series may not equip with a charger inside the box. Apart from this, it is also confirmed that the company may use an old wireless charging dock for this series.

Regarding the operating system, starting from the Galaxy Watch 4 Series, all the new watches will boot with the latest Wear OS, which is currently under design.

In terms of availability, the Galaxy Watch 4 Series are expected to be unveiled in Samsung’s upcoming UNPACKED event, which is rumoured to be held on August 3. Furthermore, Samsung may also introduce a new smartphone in the event alongside the Galaxy Watch 4 Series.
