After the fruitful rollout of the security patch and other software updates to the latest smartphones, Samsung has now started sending the April 2021 Security Patch update to the 2017 smartphones i.e Galaxy S8 and S8+. The updates are rolling out the build version G950NKSU5DUD1 for the Galaxy S8 and the build number G955NKSU5DUD1 for the Galaxy S8+ users.

At present, the changelog/release note is available. However, similar to the other updates it includes protection from 21 exposures and vulnerabilities. Apart from these, it packs with fixes for encountered issues, improvements to the apps & system, enhancements, optimizations for the camera, etc. This update is only pushed to increase the security level of the smartphone. So, we can’t expect any major changes or new features.
Undoubtedly, the OTA update follows the staggered rollout, which means a set of random users will get the update now. After the successful verification, it will be released for all the other users. Likewise, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ users can make a feeling to Settings>Softwarte updates to manually check the update.
