It’s been a while where didn’t hear any official launches from Samsung in India. However, a few weeks later, Samsung is back again, and it has launched the Galaxy M42 5G smartphone in India. If we go with the smartphone highlights, it houses a waterdrop-style notch, 5,000mAh Battery, Super AMOLED display, etc.

Price and Availability
The Galaxy M42 5G carries a price tag of Rs. 21,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. At the same time, the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model is priced around Rs. 23,999.
Interestingly, as an introductory price, the Galaxy M42 5G’s 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant will be available at Rs. 19,999. Under the same policy, the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant will be available at Rs. 21,999.
The phone will be available from May 1 via Amazon, Samsung.com, and other major online and offline stores in terms of availability. Customers can purchase the device in any two colors: Prism Dot Black and Prism Dot Gray.
Samsung Galaxy M42 5G Specifications
The Galaxy M42 5G sports a 6.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display, and out of the box, it runs Android 11-based One UI 3.1 (Skin). Under the hood, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC. It comes with 6/8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Furthermore, it can be expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card.
As for the optics, it fuels a quad rear camera setup that assembles with a 48-MP GM2 primary camera, 8-MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 5-MP macro sensor, and lastly, a 5-MP depth sensor. Upfront, there’s a 20-MP selfie camera for selfies and video calling.
Moreover, the Galaxy M42 5G assembles a 5,000 mAh battery supporting fast charging up to 15W. It is also mentioned that the phone can run up to 36 hours via talk time, Internet browsing can be accessed up to 22 hours with a full charge, and 34 hours of video playback time.
