Samsung is consistently updating the Galaxy A8 (2018) regularly with the available security patch. Last month the device acquired the March 2021 Security Patch update. Now, Samsung is rolling out the April 2021 Security Patch update to the device. The update is rolling out in many countries like Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Cambodia, Chile, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Russia, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, the UAE, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.

Discussing the changelog, apart from the latest Security Patch and 21 fixes from Samsung and 30 fixes from Google, the update special doesn’t come with any significant changes.
If you a Galaxy A8 (2018) owner from any of the countries as mentioned earlier, you will be able to see a notification when the update arrives on your device. Likewise, you can also make a beeling to Settings>Software updates and check for the updates manually.
Will the Galaxy A8 (2018) get more security patches in 2021?
A few days back, Samsung has announced the four years of Security Patch updates to the smartphones launched after 2019. So, the information about the Galaxy A8 (2018) security updates is currently unavailable. However, the smartphone is expected to receive updates by the Q2 of 2021.
