Samsung Galaxy A22 5G gets Bluetooth SIG Certification Ahead of the launch

Samsung is looking forward to add a new smartphone to the Galaxy A Series. In recent times, the Galaxy A22 5G has been spotted on multiple websites. As the launch is getting closer, the device has appeared on the Bluetooth SIG certification website. The listing confirms a few connectivity specs including several model numbers.

If we go ahead with the listing, the device has appeared with multiple model numbers: SM-A226B-DS, SM-A226B-DSN, SM-A226B, SM-A226BR-DSN, and SM-A226BR-N. It looks like this new device is going to be available in many markets across the world. The listing has also confirmed that the device loads with Bluetooth V5.0. It has visited the certification with REV1.0 as the Hardware Version Number and A226B.001 as Software Version Number.

Apart from the above-mentioned things, there’s no more information available in the listing. The other specs of the device like Display, RAM, OS, Battery, etc remain a mystery at the moment.

As per the previous leaks, the device may sport a 6.4-inch FHD+ LCD display and will have a waterdrop notch on the top of the screen. The MediaTek Dimnesity 700 SoC powers the Galaxy A2 5G. If we go to the camera part, there’s a triple rear camera that compromises a 48-MP Primary camera, a 5MP secondary lens, and a 2MP sensor as the third one.

The previous reports have has confirmed that the device will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for fast charging up to 15W. It is also stated that the phone loads with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and it will be available in both 4G and 5G variants. The phone runs Android 11-based One UI 3.1 Skin out of the box.
