A couple of hours back, the arrival of the One UI 4 Beta Skin has been confirmed officially by the company in a poster. According to it, the Beta update could release mostly in September. Presently, as per the CheckFrm application, Samsung has already begun testing the One UI 3.1.1 Skin for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 units.
On the report of CheckFirm, the One UI 3.1.1 Skin for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is in test. The Beta is currently limited to the company’s boundaries, but we can expect the public release after the Galaxy Unpacked August 2021 event.
The One UI 3.1.1 Skin for the Fold 2 will arrive on the firmware version F916NKSU1DUG7 for the Korean variants. The build number usually changes based on the model and regions. As it’s just the firmware check result, there’s no information available about the Skin. Nonetheless, the official roadmap can be expected in or after Samsung’s next Unpacked event.
According to the present report, we can confirm that the new Foldable devices, i.e., Galaxy Z Fold 3 & Flip 3, will arrive with the Android 11-based One UI 3.1.1 Skin out of the box.
When will Galaxy Z Fold 2 get Android 12 update?
To recall, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 was introduced in 2020 with the Android 10 operating system. Earlier this year, the Korean giant has updated the phone to the Android 11. The owners of the Fold 2 are eligible for one more major Android update, i.e., Android 12.
The recent news has revealed that Samsung started the Android 12 testing for the Galaxy S21 Series, and it will reach users by the end of September. In most cases, we can expect the Android 12 update for Fold 2 by the end of this year or at the beginning of next year.
