The Galaxy S21 series and Galaxy Note 9 have recently received new security patch updates in different regions. At the moment, the July 2021 Security Patch update has begun hitting the Galaxy S20 FE users. Identified by the software version G780FXXU4CUG1 weighs around 221.00 MB. Presently, the latest firmware is limited only to the Indian markets, and a broader rollout can be expected within the next few days.
The new firmware doesn’t incorporate any other things as per the release note rather than the July 2021 Security Patch. However, we can’t expect any more changes in this update as the size is just 221.00 MB. The size usually varies if you have not installed the previous updates. But within the size, there are some changes to include improvements, bug fixes, etc.
As always, the company is sending the updates over the air, and it may take time to arrives on all the units. Likewise, users can head to Settings>Software updates and check for the updates. If you see any update there, flash it to increase your smartphone’s security level.
