These Galaxy devices are receiving the June 2021 Security Patch update

A day back, the Galaxy A8 (2018) has acquired the June update. Presently, Samsung is rolling out the same June 2021 Security Patch update to a couple of new devices, including the Galaxy A71, Galaxy A52 5G, Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy S10 Series, and the Galaxy Fold. The firmware versions and availability details of these updates are as follows.

Samsung

Firmware Version and Availability

  • Galaxy S10 Series – G97xFXXSBFUE6 (Poland)
  • Galaxy A52 5G – A526BXXS1AUE3 (Brazil)
  • Galaxy Note 9 – N960FXXS8FUE5 (Germany)
  • Galaxy A71 – A715FXXS4BUE1 (Puerto Rican)
  • Galaxy Fold – F900FXXS5EUE2 (France)

Regarding the changes, as usual, the security patch updates include general bug fixes, improvements to the system and applications, optimizations, and a few other minor changes. Apart from that, the security updates usually don’t incorporate any major changes or new features. However, users will be able to experience all the changes after installing the firmware.

Note: The OTA updates follow the phase-wise rollout, and hence, users need to be patient for a few days to experience it.

If you are the user of any Galaxy phone mentioned above, a notification will hit your device shortly when the update reaches your device. Alternatively, users can also make a beeline to Settings>Software updates and check for the updates. It is also needed to maintain a minimum of 60% charging before updating to avoid data charges.
